Native Instruments REAKTOR is a powerful graphical modular software music studio and DSP (digital signal processing) development environment. It allows musicians, engineers, and sound designers to build their own custom synthesizers, samplers, effects, and sequencing tools from scratch. Key Ecosystem Levels
REAKTOR operates across three distinct user levels depending on your experience and technical depth:
The Player Level: Users can simply load and play finished instruments (called “Ensembles”). It serves as the underlying engine for famous commercial synths like Monark and Razor.
The Blocks Level: A rack-style ecosystem that allows you to patch pre-built modular synthesizer components together on a front panel, mimicking a physical Eurorack system.
The Primary Level: The core visual programming area where you connect macros and modules to build graphical user interfaces (GUIs), handle MIDI routing, and structure basic DSP signal chains.
The Core Level: The deepest layer embedded in REAKTOR 6. It features a low-level runtime compiler to let advanced programmers design custom mathematical algorithms and DSP building blocks from scratch. Rich Content and Community Reaktor 6 – digital modular synthesizer | Komplete
